Heroic Ragnaros - Analyzing Phase 3 DPS

If you are working on Heroic Ragnaros then you know one of the key components of this fight is to get out of phase three with as few meteors as possible. In Big Crits we were focused on getting out with only one meteor. For our kill last week, we switched to three healers in order to ensure we pushed Rags down before the second meteor came out.

However, during our process of learning this fight, and then focusing almost exclusively on phase 3 DPS, one of our warlocks, Democles, began breaking down the World of Logs reports to show our performance during that phase only. This analysis was a key element in not only selecting players for the fight, but more importantly, in working with our current raiders to optimize their DPS.

Because we relied so heavily on Democles to provide us this breakdown from World of Logs, he was kind enough to make a screencast video. What follows is excellent tutorial about how to get the most out of WoL.

Cataclysm LFD and You: How to Max Your JP Without Losing Your Sanity

How to Disc(o) Priest!

So, you wanna be a Discipline Priest, but you're not quite sure how to go about it? Here are a few hints and tricks that can be used that help make the spec what it is. Keep in mind, this is just a brief overview. I cannot possibly cover every minute detail about the best way to heal any situation. Figuring that out is half the fun of being a healer! This is simply to assist those players with an interest or curiosity, and help them figure out what the hell all those white and yellow buttons do on their bars.

Sindragosa Tips & Tricks

Hey everyone Burb from Big Crits here with a tip on how to squeeze a bit of extra dps out on the Sindragosa fight.  Keep in mind this tip will only work for melee classes.  For those of you that use your keyboard to turn this trick probably won't work, however, if you use your mouse you can get a couple of extra attacks in as you are running away after she uses Icy Grip.

Immediately after being pulled in by Icy Grip use your two mouse buttons to start running away from her. While running away jump and with a flick of the wrist do a 180 (to turn and face her) and then 180 back before you land so you can continue running away.  During your jump mash a keybind so you can get off an extra attack.  If you do this correctly you should have time for 2 attacks while running away.
